An Excellent Day

About the Book

"An Excellent Day' was written with the intention for it to be read as if it were a song. It contains tempo, pattern changes, rhythm, and rhymes. The story paints a vivid image. Yet, allows enough room for the imagination to fill in the gaps. It is a reflection into positive childhood memories and the innocence that we all once possessed. Characters in the story remain autonomous enough that they can be applied to any family structure. This story was meant to be a children's bedtime story, but truly is much more versatile than that.

For example, "Now it is time for bed. Time to put down that weary head. When I dream, and I know I will, I'll be a king atop my very own hill." 

Further, "There will be dancers, and lancers, and many forgotten answers. There will be dragons, and beasts, and my realm will find peace." 

The imagery will continue to captivate read after read. Repetition, along with direct and indirect rhymes, will keep a young listener/readers attention. This book will make a great addition to your kids’ collection. 

About the Author

I am a young professional in my early twenties, whom began writing at a very early age. However, the vast majority of those writings found their way right into a trash bin. I have recently picked up the pen and put it back to paper. This time I have allowed my creations a much brighter future than the bottom of a dump. With all sincerity, I hope you (the reader) get as much out of this story as I did from writing it. My deepest gratitude goes out to both my brother Travis and Miss Kayleigh for their encouragement on this project. Your opinions and criticism, though not always welcomed, got me this far.
