About the Author

Dr. Nancy Schmidt is a former Communication Professor with an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Psychology, Communication, and Education from Washington State University. She has worked in the private, public, and non-profit sectors and believes in the importance of getting children and their families involved in volunteering. Nancy currently resides in North Phoenix with her husband and two children where they are active in organizing volunteer projects for families.
