Expecting a Miracle

About the Book

I feel strongly about getting the word out about infertility, so I wanted to do something to give back to the infertility community and especially RESOLVE. So I came up with the Expecting a Miracle book. I posted the need for families with infertility challenges on my Facebook site to be models. Then I chose 15 families and we did full sessions with all of them, in turn for the model rights and use of their stories in the book. They have all built beautiful families after going through infertility. Whether they chose to adopt or go to medical measures, families were born.

Our hope for this book is that we can help other women and families through this diffi cult journey. Even if it is just by showing that there is a bright spot at the end of the tunnel, that is enough. For most of us, it did take awhile, so please keep a positive outlook. If one door is shut, another one will be opened. Families are born in all kinds of ways these days. We hope you enjoy reading about these beautiful families and photos. And we do hope that your journey is fruitful at the end, whatever the outcome might be.

About the Author

You can call me pretty much anything and it probably applies; mom, wife, sister friend, boss etc. I’m probably very similar to you. I struggle to get my child to school on time each day, my house is a disaster 90% of the time, and I go to work and bring it home with me way too often. I began the studio in 2009, after the birth of my son. I do about 80% newborn/maternity sessions. In 2011, I photographed 22 newborns and so far this year we have done 11. What does this mean to you? Next time you are looking for a newborn photographer, ask them how many they did last year in comparison to all of their other sessions. Come by the studio and check us out. Oh and just in case you wanted to know some stats about me… • I have a BS and MS in education • I have 6 grandkids (yes, crazy I know) • I have 3 cats, two black (Ritalin and Chameleon) and the new addition Gray (guess what color she is) • I LOVE to travel and see new places and people • I LOVE my family, the whole crazy bunch.
