About the Book

This book helps children with coin recognition. This story was created to make the learning of money or coins both fun and memorable by giving each coin a memorable personality. Therefore making it much simpler for children to identify and relate to each coin.

About the Author

Carmen Martins, daughter of Manuel and Sofia Cancela, was born in the small village, Agua da Pau, Acores, in Portugal. She moved to Canada, B.C. at the age of three with her mother and two siblings. Maria Teresa and Luis Francisco Cancela. Carmen’s father moved to Canada B.C. when she was only 6 months old. Then sent for the family when she was three years old. She is living in Oliver, British Columbia with her three lovely children Joey, Sofia, and her youngest Chasey. She has always enjoyed writing and telling stories to her own children and her students at school.
