About the Author
Dena Staten Sampson lives in Monroe, Louisiana with her husband, Terrance and their three children: Shaterrica, Torrence, and Terrance, Jr. She is a graduate of Wossman High School and the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. In addition to working in the public school system for many years, she has written short stories, plays and poetry; however, this is her first published work.
