About the Book

This book is a collection of my poems published in my first book entitled "Not Resigned" with the addition of a number of poems I have written since. The poems are divided into four sections namely: Poems on the lighter Side, Odds And Ends, Alphabet Poems And Haikus, and Villanels.

About the Author

Donald S. Havis (Don) was born on April 26, 1934 in Atlanta, GA. Moved to California in 1946. Berkeley High School – class of 1952. Graduated from San Francisco State University BA in 1957, MA in 1961. Was a teacher of English and Special Ed. and administrator in San Jose Unified School District and San Mateo County Office of Education. Retired – June 1990. Worked as a private tutor in San Mateo County, CA until October, 2004. Have two wonderful children (no longer children), and the world’s greatest grandson. Don Havis has been a life-long political activist working on various civil and human rights issues, with a special emphasis on separation of Church and State. Major life goals are to make the world a place of (1) Peace and Justice, and (2) sanity/rationality. I’m not doing at all well on either of these goals and could use a lot more help!
