About the Book
Pookie Pierson is the product of the post WWII marriage of two GIs in late 1945. PTSD was unidentified in those days, and the mentally abusive relationship with her father grew to epic proportions throughout her childhood. Words became her refuge, as she lost herself in books. A late bloomer, her flower didn’t blossom until the early 21st century, when a university education gave her the impetus to move forward with her love of writing. This is her first published work.
