The world has three days to answer. A monster has made its presence known, rapidly moving up Central America into the United States and spewing poisonous gas throughout the atmosphere. As all military attempts to stop and contain the beast fail, the mysteries around this smoke monster unravel, exposing the dark truth of its origins. Now the salvation of the entire world lies with an unlikely source, but it comes at a grave cost.

About the Author

Christian Gonzalez is a student at Florida International University, majoring in English Literature and Creative Writing. Inspired by the world of heroes set in comic books, Christian set out to make a book that intermingled reality with science and fantasy fiction, where no one is safe and where heroes have to make difficult decisions. What makes a person respond to adversity in a way that no one else cares to or wills to? “It is my hope that you find the book fun at face value and provocative when you dig a little deeper.
