About the Book

Words From a Teenage Mind is a collection of poems written in the form of a diary. The poems are written in chronological order from 2004 to 2010. The poems follow the author, La’ Nee’ C. Brown, throughout her teenage years. They tell a story about her life and love life as a teenager. They depict events that happened during the time the poems were written. They also depict events from other people’s lives through the eyes of the author. This book is filled with beautiful poetry that teenagers all over the world can relate to. Subjects vary from lose of a best friend, to an absent father, and even the joys and heartbreaks of love and relationships. About the Author

La’ Nee’ C. Brown was born in Chester, Pa on April 21, 1990. She started writing at the age of 14 when she wrote the first poem of this book. At the time she was just a 14-year-old girl in middle school writing down her every emotion in poetry form. She never imagined publishing her work for the world to see until she started letting friends and family read her material and gained positive feedback from them. When she was 18 she had made up her mind to let the world into her emotional and personal life. She kept writing all throughout her teenage years jotting down every feeling she had on what was going on in her life and the world around her. La’ Nee’ is the second to the oldest of five and now resides in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. La’ Nee’ currently works in Philadelphia as a surgical technologist.
