About the Book
The book is about money. The way money started was by bartering. In the old times there were no coins. People would barter things such as jewels for meat or a cow for some pots. The coin revolution started in the middle ages. The first place the coin was invented was in an island on the Atlantic Ocean. Instead of starting of small, it started off immense. People started getting tired of carrying it around so that was when people made coins. In Lydia the first small coin was made. It would be rare to have this coin in the time we are now. After this money shifted into paper and then started the economy. That is how money became to be today.
About the Author
My name is Nirun Kumaresan I live in Sicklerville, New Jersey. I live with my mom and my dad. I have one brother. His name is Nakul Kumaresan. My school is Ann. A. Mullen middle school. I read lots of books. My favorite is the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini. My other favorite is the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. These books gave me the idea to write a book but instead of fiction I came up with the idea to create a money book for kids my own age. I would always go into a bookstore to find workbooks instead of summary books for nonfiction. I thought if a kid (like me) could make a book for other kids then maybe the kids who will look at it and read it would like it. Then that’s how I ended up writing books. My main reason is to make other kids happy to understand the words and to let them read the book in their fluent own way.
