About the Book

The main philosophy of this book is to take the student back to the beginning to learn the basics which he or she probably never learned before they started to paint in Watercolor. I will be guiding the student from the basic beginning through to the completed painting, with helpful hints and illustrations. The instruction available will also benefit the experienced Artists who is struggling with the medium of Watercolor. Watercolor requires knowledge, patience, discipline, and a sincere desire to learn. I have a wealth of resources to draw from other than my own experience, such as hundreds of fellow Artists, Authors, Instructors, Galley Owners and College Professors. I will be offering everyone interested in becoming a better Watercolor Artists the opportunity to tap into my 50 years of painting experience. I have seen first hand, the successful results that my method of teaching has produced by watching my students improve and become confident and strong award winning, Watercolor Artists! As a veteran judge of art shows about exhibitions, I am qualified to offer valuable advice to my students about entering and preparing their work for showing in exhibitions.

About the Author

Max Muller is an internationally acclaimed and respected professional Watercolor Artist, Instructor, Art Judge and experienced Art Director. His association with the Art of Watercolor spans a lifetime of artistic accomplishments. Max’s work is visually exciting and emotionally stimulating due to his use of color and light. The transparency and glow of every painting exhibits his mastery of the difficult watercolor medium. Max’s passion for teaching Watercolor Workshops has taken him across the U.S.A. and Greece. As an instructor he is able to articulate and communicate his painting techniques and artistic knowledge to his students with a lighthearted and exciting flair. The demand for participation in his workshops increases continually. His painting are proudly owned by collectors internationally, in both private and corporate collections. This Port Charlotte, Florida Artist is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art. As a signature member of many prestigious Watercolor Societies and with a multitude of awards Max has earned the respect of not only Art lovers but also his peers. His work has been featured in prestigious Art Publications such as, “ American Artist Magazine”, Grumbachers’ “Artists of Florida”, “Who’s Who in American Art”, “Who’s Who in the South and Southwest” and “Best of Watercolor, Landscape 2011” A personal highlight in Max’s career was his artistic association with Walt Disney World in Orlando. He was invited by “Epcot Center” as a special guest Artist to attend various events at the center such as the International “Flower and Garden Festival” and the “International Food and Wine Festival” to demonstrate his talent and his art. Epcot Center commissioned and purchased several of Disney personnel are some of the finest I have ever had the privilege to work with they are true professionals”. He has built a broad artistic background acquired over many years of service and dedication to the field of Art.
