About the Book

With my privacy honored, for the most part, I was able to get up from my night cover and stand full in the glorious sunlight. I raised my arms and stretched then I again caught myself as I noticed a nearly painful wave of mental self controlling effort, not entirely successful, from the surrounding cohort.-------- Kaellah is learning the ins and outs of social interaction with outworld barbarians and the usual dangers of running through alien landscapes.

About the Author

John Shagena, born in Pomona, California, a city built by his great grandfather. Grew up in a mythic time of fragrant orange groves and longhorns grazing the hillsides. Early developed a knack for writing stories but after dropping out of college went on to be a laborer, factory worker, construction worker, or whatever work could be claimed in competition with illegally hired immigrant labor. Twenty years a political and economic refugee living in the woods in Pennsylvania and after outliving the termination date given by his cardiologist, the author decided to finally write the stories he had been always imagining while building motor coaches, airliners, railroad tracks, high-rises, landscapes and all.
