About the Book

Small-town Police Dispatcher, Marty Gourley hears a violent murder one night over 9-1-1 and subsequently talks to the killer, Mason Wallace.  The killer quickly learns that he’s talking to the police and decides he must meet the voice at the other end of the line.  Although he is stalking her and fantasizing about killing her for what she’s heard, Mason quickly becomes interested in Marty for a relationship. In order to gain her trust, he must befriend her.  Marty, a headstrong, aggressive smart-ass, holding a Masters degree in Criminal Psychology and peace officer certification, is asked to assist in the investigation of the murder.  As she delves into all aspects of the murder, crime scene photos, autopsy reports, and the profile of the killer, she puts everything she can into the capture of the mad man while trying to maintain her safe life with her family and boyfriend.  This proves to be difficult when accidents start happening to her and those close to her, and gifts with cryptic messages start arriving.  For a teaser of this engrossing thriller, click below.

About the Author

Samantha Thompson resides in a small town just an hour north of San Antonio, Texas where she lives with her husband, Ray. Growing up in San Antonio, and living there for the first 27 years of her life, she now chooses the quietness of the hills. She worked for a police department for 4 years in the capacity of police dispatcher, working the 3-11 shift, thus giving her a great deal of experience in the facets of a police department. When she’s not writing, Samantha enjoys thinking up minor renovations on their home and persuading Ray and her father into performing them. She is currently working on her upcoming novel, “Nefarious.”
