About the Book
Women and Other Stories is a compilation of short stories which convey the significant way divergent likes and dislikes, opinions and choices bear on a characters’ life. The stories illustrate diverse characters and circumstances in different settings.
The first story, Women is the story of Rory, a jaded ex-carnival worker and his various misadventures while he resides in the town of Liberty. Freeman is the story about the events that shape one’s mans life and his ability to counteract the situations which could affect the way he chooses to live his life. Rabbits is a romantic tale set in the near future.
About the Author
Leslie Davis is a Queens based writer with a fresh and novel approach to short story writing. Her stories allow readers a unique glimpse into other personas. She credits her ability to invent different characters on the diversity of creative sights, sounds and people she encountered growing up in Queens. She is currently choosing stories for her next book of short stories and hopes to finish a mystery novel shortly.
