About the Book

Writing songs gave Agie such joy yet he felt an urgent need to complete his third volume. We believe that the Lord touched our Dad and let him know that his time was short. It has been a privilege to honor our Dad by publishing his final book. The lyrics are an endearing testimony of love and faith. Music lifted our Dad’s spirits and strengthened his body as he struggled with heart disease. Agie’s greatest passion in life was God and he was blessed with the gift to encourage family and friends with comforting words and a loving smile. If he wasn’t with family and friends he was writing songs or playing music. Some of his best times were spent out at Brinks Music Barn in Gibsonburg, Ohio with Uncle Bud, his sidekick. Saturday nights were an exciting time, just playing music and singing songs with the good folks at Brinks.

About the Author

Agie was born in January of 1934 in Paw Paw, Kentucky to Dave & Ethel “Ashby” Estep. He was the first of their four children. His father was a coal miner and was killed in a roof rock fall in 1942. His mother remarried a few years later and had a total of nine children. His mother was a God loving woman and had a lot to do with the way he lived his life and the man he became. Agie spent most of his life working as an Industrial Electrician but had done just about every kind of work that his hands could do. He was blessed by God to have been what you would call a “Handyman“. Agie was a fantastic loving husband to Phyllis for over 60 years. He had 4 kids, Ronald Dean, Gary, Brenda, and Carol who he loved with all his heart. He has a total of 14 grandkids, 25 great grandkids, 8 great great grandkids & counting and he felt blessed with each and everyone of them. This book does not put a dent into the hundreds of songs Agie has written since he started writing at the age of 73. We hope everyone that reads this book enjoys it as much as we do. As Agie would say, “Love one another and this world will be a much better place! And put your trust in God to make it that way!” Thank You Very Much And God Bless You All, The Estep Family Rest In Heaven AGIE ESTEP January 4th 1934 - June 19th 2014
