About the Book

Children in preschool and the primary grades love to learn using music, rhyme, and colors. A Song of Sounds meets those criteria hands down! Using the simple ABC song melody, a reader can lead the students toward mastery of the letters of the alphabet and their basic sounds. Nothing is more essential to learning to read well than instantaneous recognition of the letters and production of their accompanying sounds. Each letter and sound is introduced individually and sequentially with simple words then reinforced with a rhyming sentence. About the Author

About the Author and Illustrator George Malbouef taught elementary school over a period of four decades in the Detroit area. He and his wife, Ruth, have been married over forty years also. They have two children and four grandchildren. Reading to and enjoying the grandchildren highlight their lives.
