About the Author
James Skene earned his degree in English Literature from the University of Colorado. He is the third of nine children and a father of two. His poetry is influenced by the philosophical and religious arguments in a home with a Catholic mother and agnostic father. Poetic influences include Frost, Wordsworth, Romantics and Transcendentalists, and Hopkins, whose philosophy of Instress naming the Inscape of the Creation is a primary touchstone. He lives in the natural beauty surrounding Denver, Colorado, and this setting also finds its way into his work.
