About the Book

Most of this fact-based multilayered fiction plot actually happened, including little known U.S./Soviet Cold War behind-the-scenes accommodations and intrigues that led to the collapse of the Soviet Union in the late 1980’s, Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait, Desert Storm, and the first unsuccessful 1993 attack on the New York Trade Towers. Washington’s Long War strategy employed designs for world energy hegemony to ensue Russia’s collapse. The real winners have been America’s oil and military contractors who realized huge profits in the decades of the Long War since 1990 through covert action, unconventional warfare, betrayal, information operations and a divide and rule strategy. Whether or not these little-known US/Russian accommodations underlay the two failed 1990/1991 Russian coups against Gorbachev or subsequent world events is moot. Today there are men in Washington, Moscow, and Tel Aviv who still whisper about events herein. This page-turning chronicle crackles with action based on the author’s intimate regional and insider familiarity with the people, places, and events depicted. This novel ranks with the finest current and recent thrillers of all time. Key names are intact; others were changed for literary convenience.
