About the Author

“Dr. B.”, aka Linda Bartrom-Olsen, author, lives and works in Orange County, California, where she resides with her husband Jon. Born and raised in Indiana, she earned her B.S. and M.S. from the University of St. Francis and her Doctorate from Indiana University. Her publications have included articles and books in Science Education, Particle Physics (English and Spanish), and Media Production; this is her third children’s book. She has taught Chemistry and Physics for Los Angeles Unifi ed School District, graduate courses at California State University at Long Beach, and currently teaches Chemistry for Villa Park High School in Orange County, California. Brenda Ochoa, la traductora de este libro al español, nació en México y creció en Whittier, California. Ella recibió su Licenciatura en idiomas Inglés y Español de la Universidad Estatal de Fullerton e hizo su postgrado en la Universidad de Chapman donde obtuvo su M.Ed. En la actualidad reside en Whittier con su marido y sus tres hijos. Profesionalmente se desempeña como Profesora de Español y es actual presidenta del Departamento de Lenguas Extranjeras en la preparatoria Villa Park High School. Juan Pablo Larios, graphic designer, was raised in Santa Ana, California and earned his Bachelors Degree in Media Arts in Animation from the Art Institute of California. He was also the illustrator for En Busca del Quark, also by Dr. Bartrom-Olsen, an introduction (in Spanish) to Particle Physics.
