About the Book
Bullying is a serious worldwide epidemic that endangers children as well as adults. My book, The Woodman, is a fantasy tale of a child who was finally taught a lesson on the dangers of bullying. My inspiration for writing this book was a neighbor who’s been blind since birth. We were chatting one day, and she told me her eleven-year-old daughter does not want to go to school because of the constant harassment she endures due to her mother’s visual impairment.
About the Author
My first book, Poems of the Soul, was a collection of my award-winning poems. I have written over four hundred poems and several short stories, some of which I intend to include in my next book. I’ve been writing poetry for many years when the feeling moved me but just recently realized I enjoy writing short stories of significance. I’m hoping this book will make a difference in the lives of children, teachers, and parents. My objective and ultimate goal is to distribute this book to the school systems as a learning tool on respect and compassion for all human beings.
