About the Book

Allison Collins has been experiencing terrifying nightmares for months leading up to the vacation with her friends. In these nightmares, dark skeletal creatures with beaked long faces taunt her. Allison and her friends were planning to see the Venice carnevale. When Allison meets a mysterious man on holiday, her extraordinary journey begins—a journey that will bring her face-to-face with her nightmares and her past with devastating consequences. During this journey, Allison and her friends are faced with the uncertainty that they will escape the tyranny of an evil known as the Doctor.

About the Author

M. J. Brinkley is recently a mother of one, cohabiting with her partner. She has worked with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds for several years. Having come from a similar background herself and understanding the needs of these young people, she wanted to provide a place for young people and adults to escape when life gets too tough. She has become keen to help and develop young people through the use of imagination and reading and strives to encourage both adults and children of all ages to use books as a constructive way of coping and managing their everyday lives.
