About the Book

My poems are not of a nature of cruelty but for the whole family to enjoy, something in which we all can relate to. As I said, as I sit and think, I hope you will sit and enjoy with me.

About the Author

Dwight Eric Goins, a.k.a. Dr. Devo, was born to Veo Sylvester Goins, a.k.a. Slick, and Ruby Jean Goins, and has five brothers, Veo Sylvester Goins Jr.; Rodger Burnell Goins, a.k.a. Piggy; Dennis Goins, a.k.a. Dr. Travis Goins; and Robert Earl Goins, a.k.a. True Earl Terry Goins, and two sisters, Sheila Renee and Linda Faye Goins. I was an all-American athlete at Grady High School football and basketball. I attended college at University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff. I left college and joined the army. In Korea, I led my company basketball team to an undefeated season and was the MVP. After service, I left for El Paso, Texas, and started work as a United States post officer.
