About the Book

This is a story of overcoming adversity. Orphaned as a teenager, Aaron Mitchell must navigate his way through work, college, the court system, and marriage. When kidnapped by ruthless murderers, he must use his wits and every ounce of his strength to escape his captors and survive in bitter cold temperatures. Having survived his ordeal, he must reckon with unscrupulous news reporters and overly ambitious government servants. In all this, he perseveres through a complex and rocky road to marriage. Yet ultimately, his tender relationship with his family touches many hearts, even those who would try to corrupt him.

About the Author

After graduating with a degree in chemistry, the author spent three years in the US Navy. He found that his writing was well received there. Later he was hired as a technical writer in the private sector. A few years later he became a state public health investigator. In that capacity, he frequently had to write narratives regarding cases as well as assisting in the writing of grant proposals. As time passed, the seed of writing professionally continued to germinate. He is now retired and devoting his time to various writing projects.
