Vision is the picture you have about your future. Your picture about your day is your future. It is an idea you have of what tomorrow holds. Vision is the picture of what you are expecting to be. Vision is the revelation of what has not come to be but you are expecting it to be. It is your dream. Vision is that force than initiates your moving forward. Vision is a great pacesetter for your life. You cannot act or move beyond what you see. It is what you see that determines the speed of your motion. Vision is God’s pre-ordination as it relates to your purpose and assignment revealed. This principle works in life. “What you see is what you get.” In fact, it is what you see about yourself that you will eventually become. If you can’t see anything about yourself, you will become nothing. If you can’t see yourself moving forward you will not move forward.
f you see yourself moving forward you will move forward. Your vision compels you to advance. Even in the natural you can’t go beyond where you see, if you attempt going beyond it you will likely fall because you are not seeing anything. Men of vision are always on the move. Your vision compels your motion. The Lord took Abraham out after Lot departed from him. Lot means ‘Covering’, that is something that covers. I perceive that as long as Lot was with Abraham God would not show him what He wanted him to have.
en. 13:14-15.
And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward. For all the land which thou seeth, to thee will I give it and to thy seed forever.”
Lift up now thin eye.”
top looking down. When you are on a very high place, say on a mountain or the topmost floor of a tall building what you are advice to do is not to look down because you are likely to fall if you do. There is a force that pulls you to the direction you keep looking at. Have a “Forward Movement” vision. See an “Upward Movement” in all endeavor of your life.
And look from the place where thou art.”
on’t wait until you change where you are before you start seeing where God is taking you to. God told Abraham that from where he was he can see where he is going. You can be in your bedroom and develop a vision. It can even be in your toilet or on the road. Open up yourself for a vision. Have a foresight of where the business is going before you start it. It not after you lay the foundation of a house that you know what it is going to look like. You must have a plan, a model of the house you want to build. As an unmarried young lady start seeing what your marriage will look like. Don’t dream of backsliding as a Christian. See you waxing stronger and stronger in the Lord and becoming a blessing to many generations. “For all the land which thou seest, to thee I will give it.” God cannot give you more than what you can see. Widen your horizon. Many resign out of their job because they can’t see themselves rising in that place. Many wives pack out of their marriage just because they can no longer see good come out of that marriage. Some students become drop-outs because they don’t believe they can make it as student. See far and you will go far. In your profession, see yourself becoming one of the best. It is what you see that you will want to pursue.
