About the Book

The mysteriously tragic accident of Abby’s husband forces her to rethink her career and her lifestyle. Moving to a new town, meeting new people, and encountering the essence of Shirley Black, her permanent God-fearing houseguest, causes her to look deeper into her soul and discover her purpose here on earth. She searches for the true meaning of forgiveness when she comes face-to-face with the man who caused her husband’s death. Will she be able to absolve her feelings, or will she fight for justice? Harley, the country preacher accused by his congregation of embezzlement, is also seeking a path toward forgiveness so that he can find mercy for the true thief and those in his flock who did not trust him. As he waits for God’s plan to come to fruition, he takes a job as a gardener at Summer Rain, Abby’s Bed and Breakfast. The two unconsciously begin to cultivate a relationship that ultimately leads to romance. But will she be able to overcome his sarcastic behavior toward her? And will he be able to conquer his feelings of awkwardness when he is near her? As Abby continues to observe this man of God, her heart inevitably begins healing as she witnesses multiple acts of forgiveness by not only Harley but herself as well.
