About the Book
Poetry, like many writings, is inspirational. You can take a walk in the park or along the beach, and your mind becomes saturated with what you see around you, and that can inspire you to write a verse or two on how you feel about your surroundings. However, sometimes you have to be realistic and tackle topics that have got nothing to do with how you feel. And that is, to say that as a poet, the freedom you have to express your thoughts on any subject that comes to mind. It is that element of freedom that drives so many people to write poetry, and I can only count myself as one such person, for freedom is the most majestic and natural commodity that you can see in the universe.
About the Author
I have been a poet for the past thirty years or so. My background is in communications, working mostly for nondescript media outlets. I have lived in New York City since 1972 but now reside in Mount Vernon, New York. My passion for poetry started when I was very young, when my mother used to read me bedtime stories. She, however, wanted me to become an engineer, operating trains. But I chose other options, with being a poet as one of them.
