To the Edge of the Jungle

About the Book

A small adventurous monkey who loves to explore sets off on a big journey to make new discoveries on his way to the edge of the jungle. Along the way, he learns the names of new animals that he has never seen before. Far down on the jungle floor, he come across a big swamp where he meets a lost chimp who needs help to find his way home. They notice how different they are from each other but still work together to escape the dangers around them. Once the monkey and chimp are safe and sound, they realize they have more in common than they think. At the top of the tallest trees, they are able to see the entire grasslands and find the way to get the chimp home. The monkey and chimp become the best of friends and explore the entire jungle together.

About the Author

My Name is Melissa Santiago. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved to write short stories. I was always inventing new stories, some were silly and some were a bit more meaningful. At first I thought of my writings as a hobby, something I loved to do. But, as I grew older I realized there had to be something I could do to bring my stories to life . All of my stories were just pieces of paper. So I finally decided to go for my dreams and share my stories with Children and Families all over the world! My main motivations are my sisters and my family. My sisters keep my mind young, helping me to understand the thought process of children, so that I can continue to write stories they will enjoy. As for my family they are the most supportive people any girl could ever dream of having. I want to thank you all for believing in me and for helping me pursue my dream of being an Amazing Author!
