The quiet voice of the Hopi Elder filled the stillness above the faint whisper of the wind. “The first stick figure represents Maasaw – or Great Spirit,” he said pointing to the first of the hieroglyphics. Maasaw/Messiah? “Maasaw is the Gatekeeper who greeted our ancestors when they arrived from the Third World of Creation into the Fourth where we now live. Maasaw gave instructions to the ancestors to migrate in four directions from the rectangular area here that represents what we believe to be the center of the universe. Maasaw gave leaders of each of the four clans a stone tablet that outlined the parameters of their land. He gave these instructions as he handed them the tablet “You must live as caretakers of that land until the time of the final evolution into the Fifth and final world where the destruction of the two hearted people is complete.” Maasaw continued, “The Fire Clan is the keeper of all the sacred tablets and interprets the meanings of each petro glyph. The time of the fulfillment of the prophecy will occur when a leader from the East appears carrying the missing right hand corner of one of the Fire Clan’s Stones. This long lost white brother is called Pahana.” The tour guide then explained the meaning of the Hopi Prophecy as inscribed on the Rock. “In the Hopi Prophecy when the time of the Convergence approaches, all two-hearted people (evil) will finally disappear ushering in the Fifth World – the final evolution of the Golden Age of Peace and Harmony. Do you see this cross in the circle to the right of Maasaw?” he asked pointing to that area on the petro glyph. “When the Spanish arrived with their crosses in the 15th Century, the Hopi believed their leader was the Pahana, but their experience with the Spanish proved that was not the case. We are still waiting for the Pahana,” he said. “The two parallel lines extending from the center of the universe represent the two life paths,” he continued. “The lower path is the path the one-hearted or good people choose. They live in harmony with the earth and are the Elects or Peacemakers who will enter the Fifth World.” Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God, thought Rani. She watched the guide as he ran his hand along the top line extending from the Center of the Universe. “See this top line? It represents the path chosen by the two-hearted people. These people will create the chaos that will lead to destruction from abuse of the land and its resources. It is the path of science and technology that will eventually lead to the decline of the two-hearted people that will not enter the Fifth World. See this third figure on the top line? The head is off center representing his/her lack of balance. This figure is in danger of falling before the squiggly line that represents the Convergence. If the two-hearted person can regain the balance, the fall might be prevented before that time. We see that happening today with the white people studying the ancient methods of organic farming and use of traditional herbs for medicine and healing. There are also those who are working to repair the damage done by our carbon footprints and to promote peace instead of militarism. The circles between the corn stalks on the bottom line represent the three World Wars. The corn stalks between each circle represent a time of false prosperity after each war. The gourd of ash represents destruction from a nuclear explosion. According to our Prophecy, the third world war will be started by countries in Asia and the Middle East. At the end of this war, the two-hearted people will be destroyed and the one-hearted people will enter the Fifth World – the Golden Age of Peace and Harmony.” “Is there any hope for the two-hearted people?” asked Rani. “I think there is a chance for the two-hearted people to change and begin to live like the one-hearted people and be saved. It is possible for the last figure on the top line to return to balance and harmony. There is always a choice; the choice is where hope lives.”
