The Goddess of my Space The shadows and stars outside my window Draws me out like a spotted doe. Headlights flash and I am caught Between the cross hairs of two bows. Emerged and fought; A goddess and an astronaut. My mind spins and faintly explodes; Stay and prove my worth or Hide in the dark all around. Given a chance and I'll run to the core, Bring back a piece of that blue sun To shine bright on your days of war. Polytheism and arts taught. You the goddess; I the astronaut. Sniff; sniff, truffles so deep... A beauty so rare; Hieroglyphs of you, a goddess to keep. Surf the rings of Saturn and ride the belt; Stars melt; Hearts dealt. Spinous stem at base of your flower. P-E-T-A-L-S fall down but don't suppress. Let me be your prospect so my love can connect Because these stars are about to shower. Two roads diverged by one thought; You are the goddess and I am the astronaut.

About the Author
Ever since he was a young boy, Eric E. Azpeitia Jr.’s mother has always told him how he sees the world with a different perspective than most. After his birth in Colorado, his family had steadily moved from state to state and city to city as he has learned to adapt to new surroundings and situations. He currently lives in San Antonio, Texas, as he pursues an education in psychology, creative writing, and English/English literature. After college, Eric plans to settle down in a similar environment as his birthplace and wishes to continue writing. All the excitement and passion coming from his first project has really inspired his desires, as he is now currently working on his next project.
