About the Book

Malakiak, a malamute, has created DogSpeak, a language that permits dogs and humans to communicate. Because of this capability, Malakiak pursues a secret career as a master sleuth, dedicated to helping dogs who are endangered in various ways. Aided by an old husky dog named Prez, the president of OG (the dog planet), Mal’s exploits take him to outer space, North America, and Europe. Malakiak is truly unique, and his activities are extraordinary.

About the Author

The Canadian authors, a mother-daughter team, are both educators with BAs plus Master of Education degrees. Their first novel, Alec’s Journey, describes an Inuit boy’s rite of passage into the white man’s world. Their second novel, Four Girls Named Clara, relates the story of four generations spanning from the 1890s to the present. The locales include Britain, Australia, and Canada. Their third novel, Animal’s Academy, is a contemporary light-hearted satire on education. This private academy is run by a staff of owls; the student body is composed of birds and small animals. The location is an island in Ontario, Canada. J and C Wesley love travelling, classical music, and ballet. They are both avid fans of detective novels and TV dramas.
