About the Author

Brittany Thompson works for herself as a full-time mom, girlfriend, and writer. She began writing poetry in her younger days at age ten. She always said she wanted to write about her personal experience with life, knowing many could relate. Since then she has gone to YCP, obtained her GED, went to college for patient-care tech, then switched to welding, but currently, Brittany is working on a book titled Life As We Know It. It’s about her childhood and just simple everyday situations life throws at her. In addition, she is working on getting the title cover for her book. A native of New Roads, Brittany Thompson studied patient-care tech and welding at Baton Rouge Community College. She didn’t get to finish welding because she got pregnant before graduating, but one day, she plans on going back when her children are older. Brittany Thompson lives happily in Napoleonville with her partner, Colby Aucoin, and two beautiful girls. Oh, and let’s not forget to mention their dog named Bear.
