About the Book
Absynthe wondered if she would ever wake up from the nightmare she was living. Her father had left when she was just six years old. Her mother was killed in a car crash Absynthe caused. Life used to be good, daresay perfect, but suddenly the tired girl found herself struggling to heal her bleeding wounds and cope with her abrupt loss. Over and over again, she questioned why she bothered to live in a world devoid of hope and love, and she began to fade away into her depression—her nightmare. She knew that some say falling sensations can bring a sleeping person to jolt awake. So alone in the dead of night, Absynthe Vida stepped out onto a ledge and into the wind. And she awoke.
