About the Book

Rocky was a wonderful white poodle terrier who we were blessed to have in our lives for thirteen wonderful years. Rocky impacted all our lives, including our daughter, Samura. These stories tell his life in part and how he enriched our lives.

The stories are set on the beautiful island of Saint Lucia in the Caribbean. As a part of our family, we took Rocky on many outings and adventures with us, and he always made the journey so much more enjoyable and fun.

We hope that we were able to capture Rocky’s life from his point of view as he was such a happy, upbeat influence in our lives. Long before we published his stories, we relived the wonderful times we spent together; and these stories, in a small way, keep our beloved Rocky in our hearts.

We are pleased to share what we hope are inspiring stories with all of our readers. They keep Rocky with us always.

About the Author

SAMANTHA JN. PAUL-SAMUEL is an attorney at law and legislative drafting consultant by profession. She is also a wife, mother, stepmother, sister, aunt and godmother. She now lives in Florida with her husband Lawrence and daughter Samura. Samantha was the original parent of Rocky until her daughter Samura was born.

SAMURA A. K. SAMUEL was as smitten by the hilarious, fun loving Rocky from the moment she could understand. Samura is five years old and a VPK student at the writing of this first volume of stories. Samura was an integral reason for these stories. This is their way of immortalizing their beloved pet. Both Samantha and Samura have found that reliving their times with Rocky have been very therapeutic in dealing with the memories of their beloved dog. They hope that Rocky’s infectious love will be felt by all those who read these stories. He will always be cherished.
