Michael grew up with pets. Now he wanted a cat. So he convinced his wife, Sandy, to get one. She said yes, and they got one and named the cat Charlie after rescuing him from his environment. But the one thing Michael liked about Charlie’s personality the most is the same thing that leads the young cat and the family on an adventure in this first book in a series, Charlie’s Escape from Home.

Michael Cromwell is a teacher and former journalist. A novelist also, he understands how to tell a story that can engage the reader, even if that reader is young.
