It was just before 8am on Saturday morning, and Monica was sipping on a hot cup of decaf coffee. The TV was off, but she was being entertained; her mind was playing images of her last evening with Nico. She lowered her eyes as her lips instantly sprang into a smile, after recalling the many points where they had laughed and talked until well past midnight. They had a connection that was intimate, with sex lingering in the background. They could banter like teenagers, but it was all in fun.
If she had to be truthful, Monica would say that she felt more than a friendship towards Nico, but she was scared of losing him to another woman, or worse. Because of Cayson, Monica guarded her heart as if it would break. At times she was so forceful about it, that she thought she could feel Nico pulling away.
A cold chill suddenly rushed up Monica’s spine, at the thought of him not being in her life. She closed her eyes in appreciation, of how attentive and loving Nico had been to her this past year. Just the thought of him leaving made her tremble, for Nico was her world now.
Monica opened her eyes and peered into her coffee cup, as if she was deep in thought. She recognized that sometime in the near future, there would come a day where she would either have to give Nico up, or become his girlfriend. She really hoped that when that day came, she was prepared to make the right choice.
‘R-i-i-i-ng!’
With the shock of the loud noise startling her very existence, Monica’s moment of tranquility had been broken. She ran the 5-feet across the room to answer her phone, knowing full-well who was on the other end. “Hello, Nico”, she giggled like a school girl.
Nico’s face immediately broke out into a wide smile. “Hello, my darling”, he began. “How is your day going?” Nico then listened as Monica entertained him with her cleaning plans for the morning and her shopping plans for the afternoon. When she was done, Nico chuckled. “Sounds like you will be busy, but happy.”
“I will be, but I’m looking forward to seeing you later”, she gushed. She could feel herself blushing.
“I can’t wait!” Nico declared. He had suddenly developed such a strong desire to hold her in his arms, that it was becoming evident to everyone around him. He was standing in a phone booth, and was now trying to hide what was happening in his pants. With his manhood growing harder as the seconds ticked away, and knowing that he would not get any relief from Monica, Nico wondered what Sasha was doing for the next hour.
“See you at 8!” Monica called into the phone. Her eyes were bright with anticipation of what the evening held in store.
“At 8, my love!” Nico hung up the simple black receiver, and then dialed Sasha’s number right away.
Monica found herself smiling with enthusiasm over Nico’s arrival. If she was pressed to say it out loud, she would have to admit that she had fallen for Nico and his charms. As she moved herself around the house, cleaning and straightening things up, she understood that she couldn’t live in the past forever, but she was nervous about moving forward with their relationship. Again, she knew that at some point she would have to, or she could lose him.
Nico thanked Sasha for an amazing 65 minutes of mind-blowing pleasure, and then he made his way to Monica’s apartment building.
Nico adored spending time with Monica, and lately he had noticed a huge change in her appearance and attitude. He could see that she had been smiling more, that her sad moments were becoming less and less, and he hoped that she might even be opening up to the idea of them becoming an official couple. With this in mind, he decided that the time might have arrived, when he could ask her out on a real date.
Their evening went as planned – the meal, the movie, and the company was excellent. At 11:30, they both walked to her front door. They embraced as usual, but it was different. Tonight he held her closer than he ever had before, so that the front of her body firmly touched the entire front of his. He then knotted his fingers together behind her back, and gazed lovingly into her flawless face.
No words passed between them, as they admired all that was offered only a few inches away. Their breathing was now changing, their pupils were dilating, and neither wanted to be the first person to speak or break the spell between them.
Monica studied the color and shape of his eyes, the fullness of his cheeks, and his magnificent mouth, as if for the very first time. As she noticed the perfect symmetry of his nose she smiled, for she could feel herself growing warm from this very intimate moment. As she studied the flawless features of his eyebrows, she wondered why he was wearing a puzzled expression.
Nico had no idea why he felt so nervous, because he had been intimate with many women in his lifetime. But as he studied the soft expression which danced across her face, he understood that this woman was different – she was what he needed to make his life have meaning. As she pressed her body a little closer to his, Nico felt that this was the moment which he had been waiting for.
The contents in his stomach had already rolled over a thousand times, just from being so nervous, but he didn’t want to wait. He took a deep breath, bunched up his courage, and he began to speak. “Monica?” he began slowly. He spoke in a voice that was cracking and a little on the quiet side. “I think it’s time.”
