About the Book

Just give me my pen is a manuscript comprised of several poems relating to Life and Love. Nature and Growth. Humility and empowerment. The book was inspired by both personal and shared experiences. It incorporates art to illuminate the expressed words. Just give me my pen is not by any means a politically correct piece, however it is birthed from a very delicate and passionate place which warrants acknowledgement.

About the Author

January 26, 1983 Danielle McCollough was Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York in a single parent household. Her christian based, southern influenced and close knit family structure shaped much of her perspective early on. In 2014 Danielle recieved her Associates deree in human services. Currently residing in Birmingham, Alabama she pursues a career in the medical field. Always having had a heart to serve and a genuine love for others she is in the process of serveral projects to give back to her community and culture. Writing has become another outlet by which she does so.
