About the Book

In spite of the small-town assassin's life that she is born into, seventeen-year-old Sprytzandra Colden does her best to appear like any other teenager as she struggles to find true strength from within herself. She fails to protect her brother, loves the wrong boy, and desires nothing more than to be safe and as far away from constant danger as possible. She battles with herself every day for what she believes to be right, but in the end, which will she choose--the strength that she's always yearned to develop, or the right thing, when it makes her feel weak?

About the Author

Ever since she began writing stories at the age of four, Jennica Cha has dreamed of becoming a published author. She completed her first fantasy novel at the age of thirteen, during a particularly difficult time of her life, and began writing The Assassin's Weakness shortly after, all as a tenth grader with several other life responsibilities. She lives in California with her parents, older sister, and a Chihuahua named Mini. She also loves raising pet chickens and often came up with story ideas while cuddling with Belle--her favorite buff orpington chicken ever--on a hammock in her backyard.
