The Sessilum had recently sent a transmission of static cryptic noise which a planetary interpreter had laboriously deciphered as their attempt to communicate with the Council. With help from the onsite technicians the interpreter modified the translation system enabling it to decipher, “You Symphonea virulent vermin we are notifying you we will not succumb to the weapon you have infiltrated into our habitat. We demand you stop your weapon from causing light quakes with aftershocks and tremors. We will destroy it just as we did to the projectile launched into our habitat thirteen years ago. We crushed it, we obliterated it! You will remove your weapon immediately or we will unleash lethal destruction on your entire planetary system!” The message stopped and only a fading sibilate growl remained. •
