O' CHALDEANS, WHEN DO WE ROUSE?

A person's life path is full of challenges, which may roll him down or build him up. Most people suffer in the face of these challenges. They are the ones who cling to their principles and do not deviate from them, no matter how much time overwhelms them. These are the most vulnerable to injustice. The reaction may include confronting it. The individual must accept the results of that confrontation, which may succeed in it or cost him a high price, or will show a negative attitude toward it, in word or deed, or both, contented or reluctantly. It is possible to tolerate injustice. If the oppressor is known, his oppression can be avoided. Perhaps he will reconsider his accounts and change from an oppressor to a just person who atones for his sins. The treacherous is hard to know, but only after an experience. He will betray once again and more. What is written may be criticized by the readers What is recited may be condemned by the listeners A difference of opinion does not spoil friendly relations The freedom of expression is intolerant to restrictions When do we rouse? When do we wake up from the long night of our sleeping consciousness? When do we wake up against the voice that denies our ancestors’ dominance? When do we wake up seeing that the number of the steadfast is getting less? When do we wake up feeling that the tears of the faithful are like blood in a sense? When do we rouse? You, my church, I belong to your Holy Bible My heart beats for you despite all your trouble My tears feel like the lava of an unquenchable candle When will you go back to being at the core of your title? When do we rouse? O’ Chaldeans, do not be alarmed by the echo of my poems What was said is nothing but a stream of my thought My honesty could not be, with a dollar or a dinar, bought Self-criticism stems from the suffering of the free folks When do we rouse? I will pray that the Redeemer will answer my prayer I will pray for the intercession of the mother of the Saver The weapon of faith, in its soliloquy, is fruitful I am considerate, and patience is a cure for the faithful When do we rouse? مسيرةُ الإنسانِ الحياتيةِ مليئةٌ بالتحدّياتِ, والّتي قدْ تتدحرجُ به إلى الأسفلِ, أو تتسلّقُ بهِ نحوَ الأعالي. أغلبُ الناسِ معاناةً أمامَ تلكَ التحدياتِ هم الّذين يتمسكون بمبادئهِم ولا يحيدونَ عنها مهما طغى الزمانُ. هؤلاء همْ أكثرُ تعرضاً للظلمِ. قدْ يتمُّ ردُّ الفعلِ بمواجهتِه, وعلى الفردِ أنْ يقبلَ نتائجَ المواجهةِ تلكَ والّتي قدْ يفلحُ فيها أو تُكلّفُه ثمناً غالياً, أو أنْ يقفَ منه موقفاً سلبياً قولاُ أم فعلاً أم كليهما, قانعاً أو على مضضٍ. مِنَ المُمكنِ تَحمّلُ الظلمِ , كما أنَّ الظالمَ معروفٌ وبالإمكانِ تَجنّبِ ظُلمِهِ, وربّما هوَ نفسُه يُعيدُ النظرَ بحساباتِه ويَتغيّرُ مِنْ ظالمٍ إلى إنسانٍ سويٍّ يُكفّرُ عنْ ذنوبِهِ. أمّا الغدّارُ فمِنَ العسيرِ معرفتِه إلّا بعدَ التجربةِ. ومَنْ يغدرُ مرةً يُعيدها ثانيةً وأكثرَ. فلا تأمن الغدارَ إطلاقاً. كلُّ ما يُكتَبُ قدْ يَلقى مِنَ القرّاءِ نَقْدا كلُّ ما يُتْلى قدْ يأتيهِ مِنَ السامعِ رَدّا إختلافُ الرأيِ لا يُفسِدُ في القضايا ودّا كيفَ لحريّةِ التعبيرِ أنْ تقبَلَ قَيْدا؟ متى نصحو؟ متى نصحو وليلُ النائمينَ وعْياً طويلُ؟ متى نصحو وصوتُ الناكرينَ أصلاً صهيلُ؟ متى نصحو وجمعُ الصامدينَ فكراً قليلُ؟ متى نصحو ودمعُ المؤمنينَ دَماً يسيلُ؟ متى نصحو؟ وأنتِ يا كنيستي أنا إليكِ أنتمي قلبي لكِ يَخْفقُ رغْمَ ما فيهِ مِنْ ألَمِ دموعي في حَرْقَتِها بركانٌ مِنَ الحِمَمِ متى تعودينَ كما كُنْتِ بأعلى القِمَمِ؟ متى نصحو؟ معشرَ الكلدانَ, لا تَجزعوا مِنْ صَدى أشعاري ليسَ ما قيلَ في القريضِ إلّا سيْلُ أفكاري صَراحَتي لا تُشترى بدولارٍ أو دينارِ ونَقْدُ الذاتِ ينبعُ مِنْ معاناةِ الاحرارِ متى نصحو؟ سأصلّي عسى الفادي لِصلاتي يستجيبُ سأدعو شفاعةَ العذراءِ ليْتها تُصيبُ سلاحُ الإيمانِ في مُناجاتهِ لا يخيبُ أنا مُتَرَوٍّ والصبرُ للعليلِ تَطبيبُ متى نصحو؟
