About the Book

Through the Gate is a short and simple tale which demonstrates how a life can be changed by one wrong decision. It also chronicles the importance of friendship and bravery in frightening times.

About the Author

Joanne Laudicina is a native of Chicago, Illinois. As a mother, grandmother, foster-care mom, and doula , children of all ages have been a major fascination for her. She believes whole-heartedly that children benefit most by receiving consistent love, and having the ability and confidence to know “right” from “wrong”.

She also believes that these important concepts can effectively be taught through storytelling.
