About the Book

Since my love as a youth was baseball and some of my fondest memories surround my two years playing Little League baseball in Salisbury, North Carolina, I was excited when both my grandsons played Little League in Richmond, Virginia at Tuckahoe Little League. I spent lots of hours sitting on the bleachers with my wife watching their games. I did not miss many and often the boys played on different fields at the same time. Linda and I would split up so that both grandsons received our support. I tried to write the book to attract both boy and girl readers and am grateful that girls Little League is growing. Much is learned from teamwork and enjoying the exercise that baseball/softball offers.

About the Author

E.M. Miller is an attorney in Richmond, Virginia where he has a general solo private law practice. In his former life, he spent 38 years as a lawyer for the Virginia General Assembly with 24 years as their lead counsel. He has been married to Linda for 47 years and has a son and daughter and four grandchildren. This book is about his two grandsons, their sports played and their very close friendship. Neither plays baseball currently with Sam moving toward basketball and Carter to football. I am convinced, however, that both will always have a love for sports and will always be close. For that I am truly grateful. Best Friends is my first attempt at children literature.
