About the Book

Each time that I visit a store and ask for help from the clerk; lets say to use their photo printer; or even the UPS store and most recently the post office I dutifully inquire
“How are you doing? Are you in school, going to college?
The response regularly is:
“No not right now.”
“Why?” I ask.
“Because I cannot afford it” is the reply.
The most recent one I got was,
“My 56 yr old mother is trying to finish school and she needs the money for her tuition”
“Can you try using tuition plan? I ask.
“No she does not want me to put it on her credit”
I wrote this book as a testimony, an inspiration and a challenge to young people who find all kinds of excuses as to why they should not further their education. This book is about not giving up and realizing that there are many individuals in the world, black or white who are willing to help
