AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY

Lea Fearn a single Mum that has worked with children for many years. I have always adored and loved nature, and through my interactions with children I have realised that kids have a fascination and attraction to learn about bugs, nature, and the world around them. Whilst working in long day care service, I found that I could have a line-up of 50 children who would just want to hold and see a beetle that I had found in the playground. In 2010 I created a business called Bug Kidz . I educate and entertain children through musical puppet shows, sporting events and games, information sessions and interactive viewing of live insects. The most important thing I include into my shows is an environmental awareness.

I constantly receive many positive comments from parents & educators such as; “That was a great show, even I learnt things” – “Usually the children will not sit through a show but the kids loved your show from start to finish”- “I can’t believe how enthusiastic that child is to pat the insects, they are usually very shy”.

I find insects endlessly amazing and fascinating! They are here on this earth to help nature’s balance. If we took away all insects, all life on this earth would perish.
