About the Book

This incredible story is based on the real life of a Pakistani Trans-woman named, Shamin, who is the most amazing, kind-hearted, soft-spoken, compassionate, beautiful, and down-to-earth person. She was born with a beautiful heart with emotions, feelings, and desires.

Shamin was born in Islamabad, Pakistan. She had a vicious, brutal childhood only because she was born a transgender girl. The innocent little child did not understand why everyone hated her, bullied her constantly, and treated her brutally and unkindly. No one told her anything, not even her mother, why she deserved that brutality, cruel behaviour.

Her parents were ashamed and embarrassed and did not want anyone to know that she was born a transgender baby. They kept that secret from their other families, society and communities for some time. But they couldn't hide her reality of being a transgender girl for longer. And one-night, little innocent Shamin was handed over to unknown people to save the family's respect, reputation and honour. The family, other siblings, society and communities never wanted to be associated with Shamin and were ashamed to be seen with her. The innocent little girl desperately wanted to be around her mother and live with her family. But no one thought and cared about her feelings, emotions, and unbearable pain and agony.

After many years passed, Shamin' came to an age where she started to have the desire and an urge to love and to be loved by someone special. To be someone's wife and have a home and children. Shamin' knew being a Transwoman was impossible for her to be someone's wife or become a mother. Still, she never gave up on those desires and hopes. Shamin' got down to her knees every night, cried out and prayed. And finally, her prayers were answered, and her wishes did come true!!

About the Author

Jenny is a young single mother born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. Being a single mother with young children living in Pakistan without a husband, family, or support is dangerous and impossible to survive. A woman/girl can only survive if she has a husband or a man who is a mahram to her (a mahram is a family male member with whom marriage would be considered permanently unlawful for a woman/girl).

Jenny had no family support whatsoever, and to protect her little children and keep them safe and alive, she had to run from one place to another place, from one city to another city. Somehow Jenny managed to escape and made it to Australia with her little children to keep her children safe and alive.

During those unpredictable and dangerous years of struggle, Jenny moved to Islamabad for a few years for the safety of her and her children. Jenny met Shamin in Islamabad during that time, and they soon became good friends and stayed friends for years. One fine evening Shamin shared her incredible life story with Jenny. Jenny wanted to write Shamin's story and publish it. Therefore, she asked for Shamin's permission. Shamin' happily agreed to it but requested not to use her real name.

The idea of writing this story appeared in Jenny’s mind to give support, courage and hope to many people, especially those struggling with something. Sometimes life seems hard and unbearable when we find no direction or solution. Hang in there, my friends; breathe for a few moments. Remember, you are very fortunate to be healthy, happy and alive. Many people are not lucky like you and fight for their lives daily. If you are among those fortunate, be grateful for your life and good health.

Life and good health are blessings; cherish them every day.

Love, Jenny😊
