About the Book
This is the true story of a man with many delights: fishing, art, poetry, and of course, his wife, Webby, three children, and five grandchildren. The purpose of this book at first was to tell of his army experiences as a communication officer, and being transferred to the Corps. of Engineers by direction of the President, receiving a field promotion to 1st Lt. by General Mark Clark. He was sent to Lucca as Assistant Real Estate Officer 5th Army H. Q. where he was in charge of Office of Record and Decision— use of all Italian properties. After the war ended in 1945, he returned home, got his degree in architecture, established his own business, and enjoyed his many successes.
