About the Book

Balzan, the Death Wizard, feeds on decay and destruction. His powers grow stronger daily. King Kilgour´s only hope to save his people from a fate far worse than death is to summon a savior from a long forgotten place through the power of thirteen. The five Riders of Power control the fate of the world. Whoever can find and wield more of the lost articles of power can tip the scales of a balanced world in their favor. Kilgour´s troops are gravely outnumbered and quickly running out of time. Unfortunately, his master wizard brings forth a reluctant and untrained hero. To save the world, Johnny must discover a deep connection with a sword, a horse, a wolf and a woman, all in a strange land. Only then will he be ready to face the Death Wizard.

About the Author

Born in Colorado, Troy Buenneke had an adventure-filled childhood playing in the woods outside the small town of Metamora, Illinois. His mother always encouraged his imagination as a child, and thankfully, it has carried over into his adult life. Always a Colorado boy at heart, he finally returned after thirteen years in the Moscow, Idaho area, where he earned a history degree from the University of Idaho. He resides in Ft. Collins with his border collie, TJ. He counts adventures on the Appalachian Trail and a recent visit to Vietnam among treasured memories.
