About the Book

In the tradition of pioneering studies in black history in the vein of The Destruction of Black Civilization and African Origin of Civilization: Myth or Reality, The Clan of the Black Man traces black history back to the time of the famous "African Eve" (200,000 years ago) to the present. The author, an avid historian and amateur Egyptologist, takes you on a fascinating journey through time from the beginnings of the human line through the magnificent ancient Egyptian society through slavery, colonialism, and black freedom and independence. The Clan of the Black Man is a courageous and ambitious attempt to tell black history as it´s never been told before.

About the Author

Author John L Valentine was born in the 50s in the rural south and came of age during the turbulent 60s. Watching and reading about the Civil Rights Movement in the United States from his rural, isolated setting, the black fight for equality and justice both frightened and inspired him. He soon became a devoted fan of the Black Protest writers of the era, and decided at an early age to become a writer. Starting with poetry, short stories, and other fictional work, he soon graduated to hard hitting and controversial political and social commentaries, detailing the black man's, as well as his own, struggles with racism and oppression in modern America.
