About the Book
Joel Shepard finds himself in a difficult society where guns are part of the culture and men are hanged without trial, by those who don't accept the rule of law.
The Vigilantes is about courage and friendship. It is about the gradual change of attitude of two men: Clay Bowman, a vigilante; and Joel Shepard from New York, who opposes him. Kitty Cavanaugh and Jean Dubois provide the love interest which involves both men.
