About the Book

Once they said, “God Himself Could Not Sink Her!”

It is April 2, 1912.  Thomas Andrews, Managing Director of Harland and Wolff, a ship building firm in Northern Ireland, is awakened one night by a horrific visit from an old American friend.  Dennis Parker, an Archaeologist having recently returned from Egypt’s famous “Valley of the Kings,” has a find that could propel New York’s Museum of Natural History to the envy of the world.

Having discovered the remains of an unknown Egyptian High Priestess, it is Parker’s belief that the find will become bigger than that of the Rosetta Stone.

Andrews, happy at his friend’s success, offers him a trip back to America on one of his own.  Having just finished the biggest project ever given to his company, Andrews offers his friend a First Class passage on board the R.M.S. Titanic, the largest and only “unsinkable” ship in the world.

Loading his prize into the belly of Andrews’ ship, Parker feels that his troubles are over.  All that is left is to deliver the find to his superiors in New York.

Parker’s troubles have just begun.

Unknown to him, the ancient remains of the High Priestess have a curse attached to them.  “Whosoever admires my beauty, shall be destroyed by it.”  The picturesque voyage is suddenly plagued with a series of grizzly murders, such not seen since Jack the Ripper!

Investigating the murders, a retired Scotland Yard Inspector, Reginald Cotts, introduces both Andrews and Parker to the impossible.  Their three thousand year-old passenger is alive!  There is no doubt.

Allying themselves with Cotts, Andrews, Parker, and Captain E.J. Smith go in search of their murderer.  On a ship over eight hundred feet long and holding over two thousand passengers, the task is next to impossible.

Exploring every inch of his ship, Captain Smith must not only find the monster on board, but also fight a coal fire started by it.  With time against them, ice hazards all around, and an impatient Bruce Ismay, Director of The White Star Line, pushing him on, Andrews and Parker soon discover how far their High Priestess will go to find her final resting place.

“Ka-Re” is dripped in both fact and fiction.  Adding yet another chapter to the legend of the Titanic.  A ship “That even God Himself could not sink!”
