About the Book

Linda Davenport’s “grungy old Ford” has run out of gas for the second time in a month. Stranded on the berm of the Belt Parkway East in Brooklyn, she is rescued by a mysterious person who steals her wallet and her heart and leads her on a silly, soul-mate-searching journey through dirty delis and beer-sloshing bimbos, car washes and clown combs, and a gaggle of other “strangio” stops along the way!

About the Author

Lindsay Rockland was born in 1962 in a factory town in Ohio where she learned “more than any semi-conscious person should know about the fine art of smelting.” After graduation from high school she briefly attended a local college where she “had intended to study graphic design and photojournalism,” but “ended up with classes like ‘Plant Layout and Material Handling.’” This was clearly not the creative path that Lindsay had envisioned… Eventually, in 1985, Lindsay found her way to civilization (New York City.) She landed a job in the promotion department of a large publishing house where she “went from filing cover proofs to writing promo copy and designing promotional pieces.” In 1992, Lindsay, along with her partner Mary—a talented graphic designer and illustrator—established a graphic design firm, which they continue to operate. Spin the Planet is Lindsay’s first fictional novel.
